Paralysed Rugby Player Nets £5m

Schoolboy Chris White has been awarded £5m after a rugby injury in which his neck was broken. In 1999, the then 17 year-old played for Stamford against Leicestershire in an adult match and was paralysed as a result of his injury.

He claimed against his club coach and captain and the RFU. The settlement was made without an admission of liability.
