Flight Attendant Biker Gets £350,000 After Crash
A former flight attendant has won £350,000 in compensation for injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident.
The Kent man had been riding his motorcycle in Putney when a car turned in front of him. He was knocked off his bike and suffered shoulder injuries and his left leg was fractured. Because of the severity of the leg injury – it was an open fracture – a number of operations were required over a period of time but eventually it was clear that the claimant would not make a full recovery.
As a result of the leg injury he is only able to walk short distances before experiencing considerable pain. This combined with the damage to his shoulder meant that the claimant was unable to continue his job as a flight attendant. In addition, his leisure activities have been significantly curtailed.
The settlement reflected the fact that the claimant’s injuries meant that he was unable to return to his former employment and took account of the reduction in his future earnings potential.
If you are injured in an accident which is not your fault, we can advise you.
