Pedestrian Struck at Crossing Wins £4,000

A pedestrian who was struck by a motorist at a pedestrian crossing has won £4,000 in compensation. James Broom was 19 when, in 2004, he was using a zebra crossing in Cullompton, Devon. The driver of a vehicle approaching the crossing failed to give way, knocking Mr Broom to the ground. He received a soft tissue injury to his knee and was off work for two months as a result.
